Shopping Tips

We encourage you to shop around and compare us with other Wedding Video and Wedding Photography providers. That way you will get a better idea of what your options are and how Sweetheart Production is different from other vendors.

Here are some questions that may help you assess a vendor.

Q: Who exactly will be shooting my wedding video and my wedding photo?
You want to avoid vendors who outsource their shooting to freelance photographs and videographers. It is very important to meet and talk with the people who are doing the actual shooting before your event so that you can 1) communicate your expectations and requirements. 2) assess whether you want those people to be covering your event.

Q: How many hours of coverage do you provide?
Ask for the exact price and coverage time for your package and request that in written contract form.

Q: Can I buy the unedited raw footage for my wedding video? If so, what format will it be in and how much extra does that cost?
Try to get the raw footage in their digital form so that you get the TRUE original footage. Avoid shops that offer low quality VHS raw footages. Also, shops reluctant to provide the raw footages probably means they are not confident about their shooting style such that non-edited version of their videos are kept away from their clients. Upon request, Sweetheart Production will provide your video raw footage in their original DV format.

Q: How much time after my wedding will I receive my photos and video?
Average turnaround time for a wedding photo project is between 5 to 6 weeks. Average turnaround time for a wedding video project is between 6 to 7 weeks. Request the delivery time in written contract form.

Q: Do you bring backup equipment in case of problem(s)?
Pros always bring backup equipments and that's a clear indication of experience. It is Sweetheart Production's standard practice to always bring backup equipments no matter how simple a project might seem.

Q: Will you attend the rehearsal to plan your shots?
Attending your ceremony rehearsal is critical to a successful wedding video project. Look for vendor who is motivated to attend your rehearsal and meet with you to discuss your needs. Sweetheart Production always attend your rehearsal when available.

Q: May I see two copies of a complete video that you have done recently?
Demand on viewing the ENTIRE video and not just the preview or trailer. They can be VERY different in terms of presentation. Remember, you are buying the entire 1 hour wedding video. Not just a 5 minutes highlight.

Q: May I see two copies of complete photo albums you shot and created recently?
Demand on viewing the photo album for the entire project and not just one or two highlight pages. That will help you gauge the photographer's abiity to capture all the required shots and compose them in an album format that fits your taste.
